Description:
And although Opel has reinvented itself, the brand was still perceived as an old German car brand by the young population. So, we decided to take the fun road and not only present our audience the list of features the car has, but also reshape the whole brand in their heads, with a 2-minute entertaining and light hearted film.
Basically, we wanted to make car advertising fun again. Featuring a catchy original song, "Yes, of Corsa", the film shows all the different kinds of drivers, each in their own environment asking a question about the feature that interest them the most.
We seamlessly intercut to the white minimalistic visual world, as we let the Opel Corsa Electric answer, visually with its dynamic beautiful driving shots and audibly with our strong message: YES, OF CORSA. Music is a crucial part for our film, as it carries the heavy weight of our creative concept, that’s why we opted for an original piece of music, with a strong catchy beat landing on our chorus and big message: YES OF CORSA. The film consists of many different scenes, each act as a mini-film, that’s why it was necessary to tailor the music to fit each scene separately, while maintaining the homogeneity of the whole music track. The final music track is all what he hoped for and more, a summer smash dance track built around reverberating bass and campaign tag line delivered with the catchiness of a Calvin Harris hook. The sound design needed to compliment the bumping music track we have throughout the film while also complimenting the action in each of the scenes we have. Having 2 clear separate worlds: The characters world and the car world, sound design was an important element and an instant indicator of where we are both scene-wise and style-wise.
