Description:
"Your Glasses" - an emotional piece part of Fielmann's massive re-brand campaign, who have shifted their focus from the spectacles themselves, to the people wearing them.

The film focuses on the little details of the everyday that come together to make an impact on this thing we call life. Through Joanna’s vision, this vignette film becomes a patchwork of beauty, woven together with excellent film craft and honest, relatable protagonists.

Each character is then a different moving part of the campaign – each one in a setting and scene that should reflect the way that life can be a myriad of moments, memories, and emotions.

Casting is made to represent the diversity of the everyday, and they’re written to avoid inauthentic advertising character cliches like The Chef, The Artisan, or The Matcha Tea Barista.

As with any Nordahl film, cinematography is treated with respect to both the story and the craft itself. This time, considering the client, the two go hand in hand.

Camerawork is then a reflection of Joanna’s directorial approach, the symbolic meaning of the concept, and what it means to behold beauty through vision.

Each shot is curated in such a way that every detail, no matter how small, is as impactful as they stand in reality – whether the old scar on your lover’s brow that you’ve come to adore, or the shine of your work horse’s mane at the break of dawn, before the two of you get to work.
