Description:
The objective of the film was to entice people to tune in through Pay-Per-View or purchase tickets to the event. The film was broadcast across numerous TV channels and disseminated through a range of social media platforms.
BACKGROUND ‘Ring of Fire’ was the biggest fight in boxing. It was a history-making showdown between WBC and Lineal Champion Tyson Fury and WBO/IBF/WBA Unified Champion Oleksandr Usyk.
The winner would go on to become boxing’s first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion since Lennox Lewis claimed that honour 25 years ago. And it didn’t happen in Vegas, or the O2 Arena, but at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
IDEA Ring of Fire was going to go down in boxing history. Taking its place with other historic battles.
Hence, the dramatization of historic battles through time, all through to the modern era of combat in the ring, along with a visually stunning, metaphorical display of the psychological warfare unleashed by both sides became our idea.
EXECUTION In this cinematic exploration, the much-awaited clash of two undefeated champions was not just a fight but a metaphorical odyssey through time.
Guided by the commanding persona of Paul Anderson (of Peaky Blinders), as he whisks the audience through a series of legendary battles.
Shuffling through the different eras, the fighting arenas also change accordingly. To achieve this, the production, art direction and world-class VFX teams worked tirelessly and seamlessly to recreate authentic, living, breathing townships within which the battle continued to rage.
Through extensive research and incredible attention to detail we built building structures, shops, saloons, a bustling Roman Colosseum, pirate ships, even anime avatars as we jumped through time.
The end result was a compelling narrative and a visually ambitious cinematic voyage that sets the bar for promotional fight videos going forward.
