Description:
This goal of community upliftment was important for the brand, especially the packaging. The packaging needed to be as special and eco-friendly as the "Rain of Fish" and the people of Yoro.
The solution was to use recycled banana leaves. These leaves are plentiful in Honduras and are usually thrown away. But when processed in the right way, they become a strong and long-lasting material.
This choice helped reduce waste and allowed local women to earn more money by making the packaging by hand.
The package has a natural look and a simple halo design representing the cycle of rain and new beginnings. It shows that being kind to the environment and good design can work together. It also shows that even something small like packaging can greatly impact the world.
