In Spain, cardiovascular diseases have been the leading cause of death, with cholesterol being one of the main contributors to these conditions.
Although it seems that everyone knows what cholesterol is, various surveys showed us that this isn’t the case, and that the public is unaware that cholesterol narrows our arteries, eventually blocking the flow of blood to our heart, thus collapsing our life and ending it.
Therefore, we decided to explain it by doing in the streets what cholesterol does in our arteries: causing a blockage. Ten cholesterol balls cut off the flow of people in one of the main arteries in the center of Madrid during rush hour, creating traffic chaos and clearly illustrating what cholesterol does to our hearts.
This action generated significant organic media coverage, informing passersby while also bringing a smile to their faces.
